Donostia-San Sebastián (Basque: Donostia, IPA: [do'noʃtia]; Spanish: San Sebastián, known officially as Donostia-San Sebastián and internationally as San Sebastian in English) is the capital city of the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country, Spain. Locals call themselves donostiarras, both in Basque and Spanish. Its population is 183,090 (2007 estimate), and its metropolitan area's population is 405,099.
